My Story

What was life like before training with V&B Athletic?

I used to play lots of sport but then things slowed down when I got married and had a child. I had no time to play sports (touch footy, soccer, tennis) and my role in my business went from being on my feet all day to sitting in the office!

What have you achieved?

An incredible loss of weight over the 8-week challenge and improvement in form saw me transform into my former old self, but much stronger. I now have no fear of getting out of bed to do bootcamp because I know I can make a real attempt at all exercises!

What are some of the changes you've noticed?

At first, I wasn't getting the results I wanted. Nonetheless, I continued on and my form improved and my body was able to cope a lot better than when I first started. The big change came about when Sarge Cronshaw encouraged me to do the 8-week transformation challenge!

What is life like now?

I am still very busy with my family and my business and time is short to do the activities I used to do, but doing bootcamp three times a week in the early morning has made me stronger and fitter to keep up with my busy lifestyle!

What do you love most about training with V&B Athletic?

I love exercising outdoors in a group setting. I would never be able to do this on my own. I also like the way not only the trainers encourage the recruits, but fellow recruits encourage each other. We're all there for the same thing and that is to get fitter and stronger and to maintain it.

What's your favourite exercise?

I don't mind military sit-ups.

What would you say to anyone thinking of training with V&B Athletic?

I originally felt embarrassed training in front of others because of how unfit and weak I was, but the only person who you compete against is yourself. Also, make it a priority in your weekly schedule because it's worth it!
