My life before training with V&B Athletic was very different to how it is now! I didn’t really have a routine or any self-care, and my exercise was usually just walking. I felt like I was racing around each week, and being pulled in all different directions, whether it be uni in Randwick, work in the city or back home to Leichhardt. I felt stuck in my grief after losing my Dad to cancer in 2017, and as a result, I wasn’t really looking after myself. I had put on a lot of weight and was feeling very low. I knew something had to change, so I found Mood Active through Headspace, and as a result, V&B Athletic and Jase!

Old self-beliefs which held me back, have been replaced with new ones which make me feel like I can have a crack at anything!

Exercise is embedded within my routine. I prioritise it and thus, I prioritise looking after myself.

It feels very different! Currently, because of COVID-19, I’ve moved home to Central West NSW but I still train with MOVECorps three times a week via zoom calls.

I’m now following the RHYTHM running online training program as well.

I feel like I manage my mental health much better than I did before training with V&B Athletic. I have an hour of my day where I am guaranteed control of it, and whatever the outcome of the session, I feel like I’ve achieved something. Having that feeling accumulate over a year of training with V&B athletic, feels like a huge achievement, and has helped to change my outlook on life. The confidence and strength I feel when training has extended to other parts of my life, where overall I feel like a much stronger person.
